Salman is an emerging filmmaker who stands amongst the pioneer batch of film graduates from the most prestigious arts institute of Pakistan; National College of Arts Lahore. This besides his degree in Commerce gives him a sense of business aspects. His in-depth understanding of the art of film/documentary production is testament to his dedication to his profession. His experiences with mainstream production houses give him the exposure and expertise of producing various kinds of films, dramas, documentaries, TVCs and promotional TV campaigns.
Since graduating in 2010, Salman’s aesthetic and technical understanding have rapidly expanded as he has had the chance to learn from diversified experienced gained while working with well-known organizations and personalities in the industry. Salman firmly believes that his film degree was the most valuable addition to his subsequent career track, which brought him not only theoretical knowledge but also technical understanding of filmmaking which was necessary in pursuing his dream of becoming a filmmaker.
In his decade of involvement in the media industry, he has acquired hands-on developing and planning expertise as well as technical and managerial understanding of film and television productions which he uses to the maximum benefit in his career. Moreover, his inclination to work in new places and cities enables him to explore and experience new cultures, people, and languages which broaden his learning horizon.
His most notable works include his graduation thesis project which consisted of a short documentary on the conservation of the Walled City of Lahore that has been showcased in various national film festivals; the direction and production of the English Access Micro-Scholarship program documentary which was shot in 4 different cities of USA in June 2013, an education and leadership project endorsed by the US embassy. Salman has also been an Associate Director in feature films and has been linked in documenting the following projects as well:

- UNDP’s Khawab Pakistan
In addition, he has been a lead organizing member of the 60 Second International Film Festival since 2013, an international filmmaking festival which focuses on empowering the youth through film media, under the umbrella of Morango Films.
